The garbage problem: we help keep San Blas Islands
Plastic is unlike any other substance on earth. Manufactured from oil, it is virtually indestructible.
Disposing of garbage is a growing concern for small islands with limited space for landfills.
In recent years tourism in this segment of the Caribbean is growing strongly, and together with the increase in tourists, the volume of waste generated is also growing strongly.
Nowadays it is not possible to access recycling opportunities, for this reason we strongly promote responsible tourism by asking all visitors of the wonderful San Blas islands to leave nothing that is not biodegradable in the islands (such as plastic bags, various bottles etc etc), but to bring it back with you on dry land, where it is easier to dispose of it.
So in addition to help the Planet we leave this piece of heaven clean for people who will come after you.

The best way to preserve these places is to take care of them, small and easy things like:
- DO NOT Litter
- Stop using Straws
- Minimize the use of plastic
- Bring back to the city all plastic or waste you produce while you are in San Blas
